Employees with over 2080 hours are eligible to receive Extended Health Care and Dental benefits through Alberta Blue Cross. Permanent employees can also receive a $500 health spending account and a $500 Lifestyle spending account. Please click on the link below to review your benefits and any restrictions.
All permanent employees who have completed one year of service and casual employees with 2080+hours who maintain a minimum of 17 hours every 4 weeks are entitled to join the Local Authorities Pension Plan. (LAPP) This is a part of your remuneration package and all members who qualify are encouraged to participate.

This is a reminder to all members that we offer two $500 scholarships (one male & one female) to the winners of an essay contest. The contest is open to any current dues paying member or their immediate family (son, daughter, spouse) who is attending a post-secondary institution or training program (University, College, Trade school etc.) full-time.
Applicants must complete a 1,000 word essay on “The Union Movement” and submit it to the Executive by June 10th.
Applicants are only allowed to win once. Prizes are awarded at the October meeting upon proof of registration.
